Mission

  • AFRIMS Virology develops and evaluates biomedical products, and collects epidemiologic data to protect Soldiers and Citizens from viral infectious diseases.
  • To support these efforts we engage in:
    • clinical trials,
    • fiield site development and capacity building,
    • epidemiology studies and service sample collection and characterization
    • building and sustaining collaborative relationships:
      • US agencies (USAID, CDC, DOS, USDA),
      • foreign governments,
      • foreign militaries,
      • the World Health Organization,
      • NGOs with an infectious disease focus
